Aegon Netherlands and a.s.r. have agreed to continue together as a.s.r. Over the past few months, we have been working hard to prepare for the merger. We expect to finalize the merging process on or approximately 1 October 2023. From that moment on, the integration of the business units and departments will take place. Together we will form a strong financial institution, bringing together the best of both worlds. We will take three years to establish a solid integration.

Aegon Nederland and a.s.r. are joining forces and will continue together as a.s.r. If you have applied for an Aegon Nederland vacancy, and agreed on a start date between 1 July - 1 October 2023, you will initially be employed by Aegon Nederland. On 1 October, an employer merger between a.s.r. and Aegon Nederland will take place and a.s.r. will become your employer.
After 1 October we will start building a new a.s.r. organization. Whether and when anything will change,depends on the business unit where you will beallocatted. Until the end of 2026, it will take us to integrate. Part of the integration may include being assigned a different duty, station, team, or supervisor. That all depends on the future integration plans. Those plans are carefully made and coordinated with the workerscouncil.
